This November, I'm swimming for Sick Kids!
Our son Freddie was born at 33 weeks and spent four weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Special Care Nursery. During that time, we were incredibly fortunate to be supported by Ronald McDonald House Canberra.
Even though our stay was relatively short, the team made us feel completely comfortable and welcomed us as part of their family. Some families stay there for months, and the kindness, care, and dedication shown by the staff and volunteers make such an incredible difference.
We stayed over Christmas, and thanks to Ronald McDonald House, it felt like we never missed Christmas at all. The warmth and generosity we experienced left a lasting impression on our family.
This fundraiser is my way of saying thank you and giving back to an organisation that does so much for families in need. Every donation helps provide support and accommodation for families with sick or premature children during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
