I'm swimming for Sick Kids!
In November, 2023, my son was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He's being treated at the Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick and will be under their care until November, 2025.
RMHC does an incredible job and I know how well they've supported the families of other kids undergoing cancer treatment at the Children's Hospital.
I'm taking part in Swim for Sick Kids this November to support seriously ill and injured children and their families.
For sick kids staying at Ronald McDonald House in Randwick, they just want their families close as they battle childhood diseases, illnesses and injuries.
On average, it costs $160 to support a sick child and their family for one night at the House. The families stay for FREE so they can focus on what is most important, their sick child.
Please support me and help keep families together as they face the most difficult journey of their lives.
It's going to be a big deal for me to get into the water in November as I'll only have five weeks to prepare. I have done no exercise or sport since November, 2023.
I am 66 years of age and have the goal of swimming 66 km in November ... that's 2.2 km per day.
Together, we can show these brave and courageous kids that we're fighting for them.
