I'm fundraising for sick kids!
Imagine that you have just received the worst news possible – your child is seriously ill and you need to relocate your family in order to receive the lifesaving treatment that your child needs.
You would drop everything right? But what does that actually mean?
The families that stay at Ronald McDonald House in Randwick are away from their home, their support system and everything they know. The House provides them with support to ensure they can concentrate on what is most important, their sick child and family.
These are just a few things Ronald McDonald House in Randwick provide to families
- A House that is open 365 days a year, to ensure families have a place to stay at no charge
- Support sick kids and their families through various programs
- Make sure families have a home cooked meal and most importantly
- Continue keeping families together during this difficult time
Kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it!

Fundraising for RMHC
Thursday 28th Sep
During the month of May our beautiful grandson Reid was born. Unfortunately, he was born with a Sacrococcygeal Teratoma which required immediate surgery and some time at the Sydney Children's Hospital. During this time, as with so many families, my daughter and her family were lucky enough to secure a place at the Ronald MacDonald House Randwick. This meant they could stay close to Reid and reduced the financial and emotional stress of having a sick child.
We were so grateful, impressed and inspired by the resources and support the Ronald Macdonald house charities are providing to families. Ronald Macdonald House Charities create, find and support programs that directly impact the health and wellbeing of children and their families. We have experienced first-hand how important it is to keep families together and close to the child who requires medical treatment and want to contribute to the RMHC’s vision.
To assist with our fund-raising you can donate online or you can also attend our special musical extravaganza and fulfilled day we have organised. Many businesses have donated to the day enabling a good old-fashioned chocolate wheel, great food and the best musicians providing live music and a fulfilled day.
