What does Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney offer?

add remove

Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney provides vital support for families with seriously ill or injured children, helping them stay together and close to the care they need. At the heart of our services is our 31-bedroom House in Randwick, located just moments from Sydney Children's Hospital. The House offers a home-away-from-home for families who need to travel far from their own communities to access specialist treatment. With comfortable rooms, communal kitchens, play areas, and a warm, welcoming environment, the House eases the stress of hospital life and allows families to focus on what matters most, their child’s health and recovery.

In addition to our House in Randwick, we also run two Ronald McDonald Family Room Programs, one inside Sydney Children's Hospital and another at Wollongong Hospital. These spaces offer a quiet sanctuary within the hospital, giving parents a place to grab a hot drink, shower, or even catch a nap, just steps away from their child’s bedside.

We also support children’s education through the Ronald McDonald Learning Program, which helps sick kids catch up on missed schooling. By offering tailored tutoring and educational support, the program ensures that illness doesn’t stand in the way of a child’s learning or future.

All programs are provided to families for free.

Together, these programs work to keep families strong, connected, and supported during some of their toughest times.
