GEORGE
In June of 2023, George was diagnosed with a High Grade Thalamic tumour. Becuase of where the tumor is they cannot operate. When George and his mum Amanda arrived at the House, she says "George and I instantly fell in love with our new 'home away from home' as soon as we stepped through the sliding doors. If the House wasn't there we would not have been in the position to rent wile we have mortgage repayments to make at home."

JAYDEN
Jayden was diagnosed with Mediastinal Grey Zone Lymphoma in February 2024, a form of cancer so rare the last reported case in Sydney was in 2006. His parents have relocated with him from their home in Darwin and are taking each day as it comes, planning one day at a time.
"The House has been like a second home, a place we can go to during difficult times. The charitable acts of kindness have undeniably touched our lives and what I believe we will look back on with fond memories.
- MunLi, Jaydens mum

HOW YOUR IMPACT SUPPORTS FAMILIES IN NEED
By taking part in Swim for Sick Kids you are doing more than just providing a place for sick kids to sleep and have a meal after a long day at the hospital.
YOU are making sure they can keep their families close.
YOU are giving them a normal childhood at the House and a chance to just be kids!
YOU are helping families avoid the financial stress of being away from home. Most importantly, you are providing them with love and support from a community of families, volunteers, and staff.
