I'm swimming for Sick Kids!

I'm taking part in Swim for Sick Kids this November to support seriously ill and injured children and their families.

I know from my own experience, sick kids staying at Ronald McDonald House in Randwick just want their families close as they battle childhood diseases, illnesses and injuries.

On average, it costs $160 to support a sick child and their family for one night at the House. The families stay for FREE so they can focus on what is most important, their sick child.

Please support me and help keep families together as they face the most difficult journey of their lives.

Together, we can show these brave and courageous kids that we're fighting for them.

Incredible friends

Saturday 16th Nov
While I’ve been in hospital with my daughter, our wonderful friends in Sydney have joined the village of swimmers to help me out. I’m hoping things will calm down soon, and I can get back in the pool to finish off the November swim challenge. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated or posted messages of support. Ronald McDonald House has been our ‘home away from home’ since July, so I see exactly how important every donation is, no matter how big or small.

Tuesday 12th Nov
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to do my laps since Sunday (when the photo was taken) because we’ve had a little set back in hospital. My beautiful nieces 🥰 have been doing laps for me from Brisbane, so I’m adding them to my swim total. The incredible team at Ronald McDonald House Randwick have been amazing through this tricky time. We honestly couldn’t be here in Randwick together as a family without RMHC. Every donation - no matter how big or small - makes a difference xoxoxoxo

Any donations you make today before 12 noon will be matched by the incredible corporate supporters of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Please help raise money for our ‘home away from home’. $10 can become $20, or $80 becomes $160, which is what it costs to support 1 family for a night. Every day I’m enjoying the calm and quiet reflection I get from swimming that I never expected. It’s my personal challenge to match your incredible donations. Yesterday I swapped the indoor pool for Whylie’s Pool at Coogee Beach and enjoyed watching the little sea life going about their business below me while I was swimming my laps. Any donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference. Thank you ☺️

I’m so grateful to have the support of my family, encouraging me to swim every day. I do Swim for Sick Kids for families, like ours, that have to spend months away from home for treatment. Without Ronald McDonald House, our family wouldn’t be together. It’s our home away from home oxox

My swim starts today

Friday 1st Nov
I’m set to start my swim challenge today to raise money for our ‘home away from home’ Ronald McDonald House.

Thanks to the incredible support so far from our community, I’ve smashed my original goal 🥰. I’m now aiming for $1600, which will cover the cost of 10 nights at a Ronald McDonald House for a family with a critically sick kid - like ours.

Please give anything you can. No matter how small, it all makes a difference. We’ve been living in the Randwick house since July and I can’t thank the charity enough for making it possible for our family to stay together through this incredibly hard time.
