This November, I'm swimming for Sick Kids!

I'm taking part in Swim for Sick Kids this November to support seriously ill and injured children and their families.

For sick kids staying at Ronald McDonald House in Randwick, they just want their families close as they battle childhood diseases, illnesses and injuries.

On average, it costs $190 to support a sick child and their family for one night at the House. The families stay for FREE so they can focus on what is most important, their sick child.

Please support me and help keep families together as they face the most difficult journey of their lives.

Together, we can show these brave and courageous kids that we're fighting for them.

Thank you.

What a Journey it's been

🏊‍♂️Last Day of My Swim Journey! 🏊‍♂️

Sunday 30th Nov
I’ve officially completed my personal challenge-32.8 km swum to support sick kids and their families. It’s been an incredible ride, and today I close this chapter with pride, gratitude, and a whole lot of splash.

If you’d still like to support me directly, you can scan my QR code to donate. Or better yet—save your dollars for the big event on Saturday, December 13 at Warragamba Pools! Come grab a raffle ticket, sip a slushie, bounce on the castle, and soak up the fun.

🎉 Every dollar helps RMHC Sydney. Every laugh helps us go further.
Thanks for being part of this journey. Let’s finish strong together.

Swimming is apart of my life now

Tuesday 25th Nov
Wrapped up 27.4 km and pushing for 30 km by the end of the week. Swimming’s part of my life now—I’m not giving it up anytime soon. Last time I went big on fundraising, I worried everyone would mute me 🤣 …so this next one’s just for fun. 💦 If you’ve got any events you’d like me to swim in, hit me up—I’m keen for the next challenge.

25000m Completed!!!!

Sunday 23rd Nov
🏊‍♂️ 25 km Swim Challenge Complete! 🏊‍♂️ Today I swam 3.7 km, my longest swim ever, and I was determined to finish it. Every lap pushed me to my limits, but I kept going until I touched that wall. And the best part? I was joined by my two beautiful daughters, who swam laps with me most of the way. Sharing this challenge with them made the finish even more special. 💙 That final swim brought me to the end of my 25 km challenge. It’s been tough—early mornings, sore muscles, and plenty of times I wondered if I had it in me. But crossing this finish line feels incredible. I’m fitter, stronger, and prouder than when I started, and every metre was for the families supported by RMHC Sydney. I’m so grateful—for the sponsors who backed this challenge, the supporters who cheered me on, and the kids and families who inspired every lap. I’m still a bit sore, but the pride outweighs it all. 🎉 Save the Date – 13 December 🎉 Now it’s time to celebrate together! On 13 December, we’ll mark this milestone with community, gratitude, and plenty of fun. Let’s come together to honour the journey, thank everyone who made it possible, and enjoy the reward of finishing strong.

🏊‍♂️ 21.3km Down — Just 3.7km To Go!

Thursday 20th Nov
This Swim for Sick Kids challenge has been the toughest test I’ve faced in years. Today’s 2.4km pushed me to my limits, but it also reminded me why I’m doing this. Every lap has been sweat, struggle, and sore muscles… but every lap has also been hope. Hope for families who need Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney — just like mine did when our son Grey was born too early. I’ve now completed 21.3km of my 25km goal, with only 3.7km left. The finish line is in sight, and I’m swimming stronger than ever. 💙 A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated, sponsored, or cheered me on — your kindness has kept me going through every lap. If you haven’t yet, there’s still time to jump in and support this cause. Every dollar makes a difference for sick kids and their families. 📅 And to all my sponsors, supporters, and readers: Save the Date — December 13, 2025. Stay tuned 😉😉 Together, we’re making these last kilometres count.

🏊 Swimming for Sick Kids: My Journey So Far

Sunday 16th Nov
🏊 Swimming for Sick Kids: My Journey So Far

When I first set out to swim 25,000 metres this November, I knew it would be a challenge. But every lap has a purpose, to support Ronald McDonald House, who give families a place to stay close to their sick kids when they need it most.

So far, I’ve completed 17,900 metres - that’s 71.6% of the goal. With 7,100 metres left, I’m pushing through the final stretch, lap by lap.

💙 Why This Matters
Ronald McDonald House was there for my family when my son Grey was born prematurely. Their support gave us strength during one of the hardest times of our lives. Now, I swim to give back, so other families can feel that same comfort and care.

🌊 How I’m Feeling
Honestly, it’s a mix of emotions.
- Grateful- for the chance to turn my love of swimming into something bigger than myself.
- Proud- seeing the metres add up and knowing each one helps sick kids and their families.
- Determined- even when I’m tired, I remind myself why I’m doing this. That keeps me moving.

🎯 The Finish Line
With just over 7km to go, I’m more motivated than ever. Every donation, every word of encouragement, fuels me to keep swimming. Together, we can make a real difference for families who need it most.

👉 Support the Swim for Sick Kids today. Every lap counts. Every metre matters. Every donation helps.

16 Nov 2025, 1.8km

Sunday 16th Nov
1.8km completed today! 6.6km remaining of my 25km goal

Swimming with Purpose 🌊💪 664 Laps and Counting ➕”

Saturday 15th Nov
As of today, Saturday 15 November, I have swum a total of 16,600 metres — that’s 664 laps of a 25m pool — on my way to completing 25,000 metres by November 30. Along the way I’ve almost raised $2,500 for my favourite charity, Ronald McDonald House.

Every lap I swim is more than just distance in the water — it’s a reminder of the gratitude my family carries from 2016, when our son Grey was born far too early. Ronald McDonald House gave us strength and support when we needed it most, and this challenge is my way of honouring that kindness and helping other families feel the same.

With 8.4 km to go, the finish line is in sight — but who knows, maybe I’ll swim even further than 25,000 metres before the month is done. Let’s finish strong! 💪🏊‍♂️

15 Nov 2025, 2.5km Swam

Saturday 15th Nov
I’ve clocked 2.5 km today, and after adding another 5 km to the challenge, I’m now staring down just 8.4 km left to conquer!

The finish line is getting closer, the arms are burning, and the motivation is sky-high. Let’s gooooo! 🏊‍♂️🔥💪

UPDATE – WE HIT $2,200! 🏊‍♂️🔥

Friday 14th Nov
Thanks to everyone’s amazing donations so far — and a massive shout-out to Kat for pushing me over the $2,200 mark — I’ve officially increased my target to 25km!

That means I’d better get swimming if I’m going to smash this by November 30And for anyone following along… I may have also challenged my friend Michelle, who just happens to be a seriously good triathlete, to a sprint race.

What have I done 🤣🤣🤣

Let’s keep this rolling and keep supporting sick kids and their families ❤️

Should I up my KM goal???????

Friday 14th Nov
Another kilometre done today — and I even threw 5 laps of Butterfly into the mix. Feeling dangerously close to my prime fitness again! That brings me to 14.1km completed with 5.9km to go for my 20km challenge. I’m blown away by everyone’s support so far — thank you! Every metre I swim is for the kids and families who rely on Ronald McDonald House Charities. Over the next few days I’m hoping to knock over another couple of kilometres, and if timing works out, get some laps in with my older brother and my nephew too. Would be awesome to share part of this challenge with them. I’m also adding a little twist: 👉 If donations reach $2,200, I’ll increase my goal from 20km to 25km. And if I’m feeling good… I’ll push even further. Let’s keep this momentum going. Together we can make a massive difference ❤️ @Warragamba Swimming Pools

Friday 14th Nov
Hey everyone,

I just wanted to jump on here and say a massive thank you to everyone who’s donated or supported my Swim for Sick Kids challenge for Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney. Your generosity and encouragement honestly mean the world to me.

A quick heads-up: if you’ve made a donation, please check your junk or spam folder. The donation system automatically sends out two separate emails:
1️⃣ A thank-you and donation receipt directly from Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney, and
2️⃣ A personal thank-you email from me, sent through the same system.

Both messages are genuine and both are worth a read! The official one includes your receipt, while mine is just my way of personally thanking you for helping me support sick kids and their families.

Every donation, every comment, and every bit of support keeps me motivated to keep swimming towards my 20 km goal. You’re all part of this journey, and I’m so grateful to have such an amazing community behind me.

Thanks again, legends ❤️

Over Halfway — And Every Stroke Matters

Monday 10th Nov
When I first signed up for Swim for Sick Kids, 20 kilometres sounded like a number on a screen — a goal that felt distant but doable. Now that I’ve crossed the halfway mark, I can tell you it’s been far from easy. Every lap has pushed me physically, but more than that, it’s tested my mindset, my consistency, and my “why.”

There are mornings when I’ve wanted to skip the pool, when the body aches and the water feels colder than usual. But then I remember what I’m swimming for — families doing it tough while their children receive life-saving care at Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Each kilometre is a reminder that a bit of discomfort is nothing compared to what those parents face day in and day out. It’s a chance to turn effort into impact — to give something back while finding a stronger version of myself along the way.

Crossing the halfway mark has done more than build endurance. It’s reignited my sense of purpose. It’s cleared my head when the noise of life gets too loud. And it’s shown me how powerful community can be when people rally behind a cause that matters.

I’m still swimming — still chasing that 20 km goal — and every donation, message, or share keeps me moving forward.

If you haven’t yet, check out my page, follow my journey, and help me make each lap count for the kids and families who truly need it most.

A Month of Purpose, Progress, and Gratitude

Monday 27th Oct
The past month has truly been an eye-opener.
Each swim has reminded me not only of my own limits but of why I’m doing this in the first place.

Today I hit a personal milestone, completing my longest training swim yet — 1,050 metres of freestyle.
Every stroke gives me time to reflect on the incredible support Ronald McDonald House provided my family when we needed it most, when our son Greyson needed a place for us to stay close, surrounded by care and kindness.

That experience changed us forever. It’s what drives me now, pushing through every lap, every early morning, and every aching muscle.

To everyone who has already donated, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
We all give what we can, with what we have, and I’m truly blown away by the generosity and encouragement I’ve received.

This journey isn’t over yet, and I hope you’ll keep following along as I swim toward the finish line — one kilometre, one stroke, and one act of kindness at a time.
