This November, I'm swimming for Sick Kids!

I'm swimming for Sick Kids!

I'm taking part in Swim for Sick Kids this November to support seriously ill and injured children and their families.

For sick kids staying at Ronald McDonald House in Randwick, they just want their families close as they battle childhood diseases, illnesses and injuries.

On average, it costs $160 to support a sick child and their family for one night at the House. The families stay for FREE so they can focus on what is most important, their sick child.

Please support me and help keep families together as they face the most difficult journey of their lives.

Together, we can show these brave and courageous kids that we're fighting for them.

WE DID IT!!! 200m and 5km goal reached!!!

Wooohoooo!!! What a way to get to 5kms! Lovely swim down in the Austimer ocean pool and great day at the beach! Very proud to have reached my goal and so proud of Chervawnie, too! She reached it on Friday! Woohoo!! It’s not too late to donate so please give generously for this very worthy cause - Ronald McDonald House which has supported wonderful friends when they’ve needed it most!

Almost there! Huge 1.5km swim

Friday 22nd Nov
I cannot believe I did 60 laps a whopping 1.5km in one session. Woohooo!!! And CONGRATULATIONS to Cher on completing her 5km goal when she’s already reached 3kms!!! Woohooo!!! Annnnd James joined us and did a PB too. Kicking goals :)

Two thirds of the Cup

Tuesday 19th Nov
Two thirds done, almost 3 quarters! A little tough today but happy with progress! Go team Beginner Swimmers. We also had a fellow swimmer say we looked professional so perhaps we aren’t so beginner any more :)

HALF WAY! goin’ Solo - another 500m

Friday 15th Nov
Thought I would start the day with a swim for a Friday, lovely to get going and knocked off the 500m within a half hour :) very happy with that :) Half way!

12/11/24 1 kilometre in one session!

Friday 15th Nov
12/11/24: Super proud today! I completed 40 laps of the 25m pool meaning I swam 1km. Wouldn’t have thought I could do that when this started two weeks ago, so pretty chuffed! And thanks to Cher for managing me to the 40 laps when I was ready to stop at 20 :)

Swim 3, 1.15km done! About 22% done!

Monday 4th Nov
My first solo swim today! Missed my lap and yap partner Chervawnie but proud I did 450m and kind of miffed I didn’t push to break into the 500m but all good!

2nd swim - Saturday 450m

We tried the 50m pool on Saturday and did so well! Both 10% done, Cher 20%! Let’s go! Time for a little rest then to keep on swimming

A lovely first morning swim for The Beginners Swimmers! Myself and Cher started strong! 8 and 10 laps and well on our way to our goals! Doing this all for the children and families doing it tough and deserve to be surrounded by love and care and a wonderful temporary home

My precious swimmers were stolen (good luck to whoever has them now! If you see blue/purple swirly swimmers around St Clair let me know! ;) so had to get some new ones! Not quite the same but they’ll do the trick! One day to go!
